  1. Love love love this show!!!!! Is there any chance I can be cheeky and ask for a signed photograph of the lovely Joe Kenda too? 🙂

  2. Help!!!! My wife’s Sarah birthday is soon. I need to find a way to get an autograph of Lt. Joe. Please if anyone has any way to get one. Please let me know.

  3. Love watching this show but just curious has Joe ever considered looking in to the Teresa Halbach case? Where Steven Aver and Brendan Dassey are sitting in prison right now for her murder but no evidence lines up to where these men killed her… Has he or will he ever consider to figure out her true killer or if she really even is dead?

  4. The latest opening scene: Joe with jacket over shoulder and staring off left is the worst! What’s the point of the scene? Looks/is amateurish?

  5. Love the show. Your experiences and dedication brings me hope that maybe someday someone would solve my dad’s murder case, which remains unsolved for 45 years..

  6. Dear Detective Kenda,

I am writing today that I admire your service as a Police Officer and excellent detective. I do enjoy your celebrity at ID. Your cameos in commercials make me writhe uncontrollably with laughter.

More than that, Sir, I wanted to address the bitter truth that you have had to witness the evils of Humanity, that there are men like you to track them down and put them in a cage. I for one thank you. Then you have to choke that evil down and be a man about home and community. Oh, yeah, the paperwork. The freaks.

I am not a man made of your stuff. I am a retiring Land Surveyor having built roads and bridges for the State of California for some 26 years. I did live at Gunnison for a year 1975 so I have a connection with Colorado. I love your State.

In a larger sense the thin blue line of policing to adjudicating to incarcerating the Evil…WOW! How tough it is for Law Enforcement!

If I may, Joe, the Attorneys have played us all. I, for one, was not that happy with the Miranda rulings, and I am quite sure you have experienced “plea deals” which frustrated you as an intelligent decent man.

Bottom Line: Intelligent decent men. We need more of us. Keep your mind bright, your loves’ alive. I shall too, as you provide inspiration as an Honorable Man.

    Sincerely,

Wesley Gerrit Vanderhorst, PLS 7004 CA, formerly of the Western Slope, a cowboy.

This Day is December 24, 2016. Ho! Ho! Ho! Kenda Merry Christmas!

  8. Really enjoy the show but would love to hear the dialog!! The music in the background is SO LOUD that I can’t even follow the storyline

  9. Hi Joe,
Just want to wish you a happy and healthy new year.
My husband and I love to watch you on Homicide Hunter .
Your ‘no nonsense’ but respectful approach is only equalled by your sharp wit and your confident detective decisions.
Your human side is very evident in cases involving minors.

Kind regards from Michelle in the west of Ireland.

  10. My name is Deannon Conwell. I have really enjoyed watching Lt Joe Kenda but I have noticed something about the show that has worried me. The cases Lt Kenda narrates seem to be biased. In the cases as to where a white person is involved with a murder, the lieutenant tends to give them a benefit of a doubt but not so when it’s involving a black person. When a person committ a murder and a white person either drove them or in some fashion set the crime up, the Lt Kenda would make statements like they were scared to death or they didn’t know it was going to happen but when a black person does the same thing, the lieutenant would say the total opposite. He would charge the black person with the same crime. He makes me think that black people don’t get scare or that we know exactly what’s going to happen and we do it anyway. I can tell you about some of the episodes that show my concerns. If you are wondering as I know you are as to my race, I am black. Am I racial, no I’m not. I just feel some of the shows are biased. Thank you for letting me air out some of my concerns. Again thank you.

  11. Please, we try to watch this show and love it, however, the music is so loud that we can’t hear the actors talking. We have to turn it down because of the music then we’re unable to hear what’s happening. This is the second time I have tried to tell someone to please turn that music down so we can enjoy the show.

  12. I have a big need to talk to Det. Joe Kenda. Not only do I thoroughly enjoy his program on every week but have a more pressing need to hear if he can help our family. My daughter Betsy Faria was murdered in our area in Missouri and has been on Dateline several times. Maybe you have seen an episode or two. It happened Dec. 27, 2011 in Troy, Mo. We just passed 5 year anniversary. It is now a cold case. I realize you are now retired and worked in Colorado Springs, Col. but just wonder every time I watch your program{as I am doing now} what you would have to say.You say you always find the killer. Ours is a complicated case, 3rd most filmed on Dateline, we are told. Would love to talk with you.

  13. I live in a small town in Louisiana. I’m asking for your help. We have very crooked and dirty law enforcement here. They have already covered up two murders. It needs to stop. Anything you can do to help would be a blessing. Thank you and God Bless.
