  1. I wish I could afford the cruise but I’m fighting for my disability big I could send my girlfriend I would we are huge fabs

  2. This would be the best cruise ever. Meeting Det Kenda and his wife would be amazing. Behind every great man is a great women. God bless the Kenda family.

  3. i like the show. my only complaint is the volume of the background music and sound effects during the show. sometimes so loud i have difficulty hearing the dialogue clearly and it is very annoying. please turn it down!!

    1. I agree! 🙁 very loud and annoying sound effects. My fiance said they use the loud sounds for emphasis but man, it messes with my mind and I’m thinking it’s either the climax or a cliffhanger in the middle of the show :/

    2. Agreed. Music is so loud I can’t hear all the dialogue. I don’t remember it being that loud before. But I am still a fan.

  4. I am cruising too and am excited to go and thank Joe and his wife for their sacrifices for others and meet Carl and his sweet wife! Will be fun meeting more Kenda family also!

  5. MY,MY,MY – looking forward to the 5 day cruise – We primarily cruise Princess but will surely enjoy Lt. Joe and Carl and RC = actually, joining a 7 day Princess cruise the next day after this cruise – Coming from Calif – have to make the most of it.
We just (by chance) found Homicide Hunter on TV and now have recorded and watched most all the past episodes – Love Joe’s DRY humor

  6. I love this show and Joe Kenda’s dry commentary but I can’t watch it any more. The background music is so annoying and nothing I do can fix it. I tried watching it with subtitles but those don’t catch the nuances in Joe’s commentary…. so maybe next season you can figure it out but ’til then we’re done with this show.

    1. Same here :/ Love the show, but the loud sound effects has me turning down the volume, then we can’t hear what’s going on. It’s very anticlimactic to hear the loud sounds then nothing happens…yet. I don’t know what’s going on with this cliffhanger-type soundtrack to the show but it’s very distracting and annoying. Great show otherwise though lol

  7. My, my, my favorite Joe quote is “he ought to be in a cage”. My dear husband knows that Joe Kenda is my “man”…and we record and watch rerun episodes. I love to hear him talk and his passion and dedication is awesome.

  8. I just found out about the cruise which is scheduled for January 11, 2016, too late to book. I’ve never been on a cruise would have loved to have met the stars on ID Lt. Kenda and the best looking man on this planet, Carl Marino. Maybe next time. Oh well I can dream can’t I? I’m recording every episode. Don’t want to miss a one. I hope everyone enjoys the cruise!!

  9. Wow, I just found this site! Det. Kenda is one of my favorite shows. My daughter has already taken forensics, and wants to be a pathologist. I have everybody in my house watching your show, and I just met a real detective locally who is watching your show! Wish I could have made it to the cruise.

  10. I too love this show, but the loud background music has finally run me off! What good is the show if you can’t hear the dialogue? Background music is supposed to be just that, in the background!

More and more shows are doing this along with bouncy camera! Some big shot exec probably thinks it’s cutting edge…he/she should think again and read these reviews!

  11. Read a disturbing article about Lt. Joe and the younger Kenda,Carl Marino. Article in 2013…talks against Carl so bad and like the 2 only met once and talked once on phone. Carl is talked about as if he’s a liar and former con man. I can’t believe he would have been cast if all this were true. He does an excellent job without impinging on Lt. Joe’s part. Does NOT mumble as article stated by a ditzy Palomino58. This show is too good and has run so long…it was such a unique idea of having Lt. Joe relate the crime while Carl Marino does excellent job playing Lt. Joe. I hope the two DO get along and I will certainly keep watching. Your sound is NOT TOO loud as some are saying here.
